Rev. Thurman Roe
Senoir Pastor
Pastor Thurman grew up in the Finger Lakes region of Cayuga County in New York State. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior in the free pardon of sin at the age of 12 years old in Vacation Bible School.
He enlisted in his senior year of high school and after graduation faithfully served in the US Army for 8 years and the ready reserve for 3 years.
Pastor Thurman previously served as a Youth Pastor at Wilkies Grove for several years on a part time basis. He retired as a professional safety manager after working 30 years at a local food distribution company in Hickory NC, to serve the Lord as the Associate Pastor here at Wilkies Grove Baptist Church in January 2016.
He obtained his Diploma of Advanced Biblical Studies from Liberty University and Certificate in Bi-vocational Ministry Studies from the Southern Baptist Convention, Seminary Extension Ministry.
In December of 2020, Pastor Thurman accepted the position of Senior Pastor here at Wilkies Grove Baptist Church.
He and his wife Donna live in the George Hildebrand community, near the church. They have two children, two grandsons & a granddaughter. Their daughter & husband’s family live in Vale, NC. and their son and his wife live in Kennesaw, Ga.

We are pleased to have our new Associate Pastor; Rev. Chance Settle & his wife Bobbie Settle to join our ministry team here at Wilkies Grove. We are exited to see what God will do!
Robin Davis
Church Secretary
Wilkies Grove Baptist Church is blessed to have Robin Davis as our Church Secretary. Robin lives in the George Hildebrand Community, she brings a smile and joy with her and we are excited to have her on the Wilkies Grove Ministry Team.
Rick Sain
Minister of Music
Rick and his wife, Sandy live in Vale, NC and have two children who are both married. They also have 4 grandchildren.
Rick has been leading the church choir for over 30 years. Sandy helps with our flowers, drama’s & many other ministries within the church.
Derick & Nikki Brittain
Youth Leader
The youth Pastor/Leader position is currently vacant since the former Pastor accecpted the call to another area church. We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible. In the interim, Derick & Nikki Brittain are leading in this ministry.
